Life story

" Melvin Guy Cameron Jr., 74, of Culpeper, VA, passed away on August 14, 2026, at Culpeper Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Ida Cameron, his brother, Roger, and his sisters, Shelbert Jenkins and Judy Bartlett.

He is survived by his son, Timothy Cameron, and his wife, Crystal, of Culpeper, VA, stepson, Michael Smith, and his wife, Jessica, of Culpeper, VA, and stepdaughter, Lee Ann Sparks, of Culpeper, VA.

His surviving siblings are Lisa Cameron Welsh and her husband, Gary Welsh, of Front Royal, VA, Patty Cameron Aliff and her husband, Wayne Aliff, of South Carolina, and Mike Cameron and his wife, Brenda, of Winchester, VA. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

He was employed by Superior Paving/Trucking for over 15 years before retiring and continued working with C.L.S. Trucking. He was a NASCAR and motorcycle enthusiast. Horeb Community Church, 10867 Elk Run Road, Catlett, VA 20119.
