Life story

"Margaret Mautz Massott Peg, 90, of Philadelphia, passed away on August 29, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Charles F. Massott. Loving mother of Dianne Ferraro (late Jim), Jacquelyn Campbell (Len), Michael Massott (Maureen), Linda Broll (Carl), Rick Massott (Maryann), Colleen Guld (Jim), Greg Massott (Kristie) and the late Charles Buddy and Dennis (Michelle). Grandmother of 29, great grandmother of 46. Dear sister of the late Jack Mautz, Joseph Mautz, Joan Knauf and Claire Carpenter. Family was home to Peg, but when she needed an escape, she took long walks along the bay in Cape May or to Acme. Casino trips and lottery tickets were her guilty pleasures. Despite hating cooking, she always made sure a good meal was on the table. Peg was easy to please just giving her chocolate, a cookie or vanilla ice cream elicited joy. She loved dancing with her husband, and missed him dearly during her last 6 years. Peg will be missed just as much by her family. At the request of the family, services are being held privately.
