Life story

" Glenn Frederick Kauffman, 91, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 13, 2026. After a courageous battle with dementia, his faith became sight as he awoke in Heaven, whole and free from pain.

Born on September 24, 1934, Glenn was the son of Jesse William Kauffman and Blanche V. Kauffman. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War, an accomplishment he carried with great pride throughout his life. Glenn was known as a hard worker, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man whose life was grounded in faith.

On February 2, 1957, he married the love of his life, Freda Dorothy Zimmerman Kauffman. Together they shared 69 years of marriage, building a legacy of love, faith, and family that continues through generations.

Above all else, Glenn cherished his family. Family was always his priority. He found great joy in gathering with those he loved and was deeply proud of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the lives they were building.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Freda Dorothy Kauffman; his son, Bill Kauffman and wife Cindy; daughters Pattiann Rabb and husband Steve, and Kam Reed and husband David.

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Billy Kauffman and wife Katie, Kimmy Rowe and husband Zach, Joey Kauffman and wife Nisha, Cole Torres and wife Maggie, Derek Torres and wife Emily, Maria Torres, Mandi Kauffman and husband Bob, Heather Ruesch and husband Gary, and Jonathan Reed and wife Emily.

His great-grandchildren include Thad and George Kauffman; Justin and Wyatt Rowe; Charity, Bobby, Gabe, Clark, and Rosie Kauffman; Hayley and Brooke Ruesch; and a great-grandson (Dominic Torres) expected in July 2026.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse William Kauffman and Blanche V. Kauffman; his brothers, Donald Walter Kauffman and James Ray Kauffman; and his sisters, Arlene Enders and Romaine Wintermyer.

Those who knew Glenn will remember his strong work ethic, his love for his country, his devotion to his family, and his unwavering faith in the Lord. He was proud to have served his country, proud of the family he helped build, and grateful for the blessings God had given him throughout his life.

While his family grieves his absence, they rejoice knowing that he is now healed, reunited with loved ones who have gone before him, and worshiping the Savior he faithfully served throughout his life.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23 "

Services will be private.
