Life story

" Francie Ellen Huestis (Prince), 71, of Stafford, Virginia, passed away on July 16th, 2026 at home. She was born in Augusta, Georgia to Randall and Patricia Prince.

Francie was a mother in the fullest sense of the word. She taught her children to fight pirates with wooden swords, to fall in love with stories, to dream boldly, and to be stubborn when it mattered, and occasionally when it didn't. She had a gift for recognizing the magic in ordinary moments, and when she couldn't find it, she simply created it herself.

She raised her children to see the world as a grand adventure, even when life didn't hand her all the adventures she had once imagined for herself. She built in her children a sense of self-reliance, a love for adventure, and she shared her faith with anyone who would listen.

She is survived by her children, Matthew Rathbun, Noah Rathbun, Zachariah Rathbun, Cassandra Rathbun, Sarah Huestis, her sister Donna Boone, and brother Randall Lynn Prince. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They will be told of her laughter, humor, grace, and love.
