Life story

"Amanda Leigh Rogerson, 31 of Statesville, lost her 37-day battle with cancer on March 7, 2022. In her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 05, 1990, in the Commonwealth of Virginia, to Claude Elbert Rogerson Jr. and Michelle Martin. Amanda is a graduate of Statesville High School. She was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church. She leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her family and friends who were always entertained by her beautiful smile. If you saw her smile you smiled. Anyone who met her wanted to speak to her and always committed on her smile. Survivors include her father, Claude Elbert Rogerson Jr. stepmother Shannon Ramsey, brother Coby Rogerson and her nephews Jaxxson & Noah Rogerson. Also left to grief this amazing young lady is her caregivers for the last 17 years Nicole and Robert Wise, and a list of extended family the Casale Family, the Stewart Family, the Hudson Family, the Osborne Family, the Barrier Family, and the Grigg Family. Amanda loved hot air balloons. She was able to attend the Albuquerque Balloon Festival and Amanda has been part of the Carolina Balloon Fest for years, she is also a member of the Carolina Balloon Association. The ballooning community have always welcomed Amanda with open arms, she is loved by so many. Her favorite is Sam Parks, if asked she would tell you that he was her boyfriend, Winna did say she would share Sam but only with Amanda. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Westminster Church of God in Statesville. Memorials may be sent to Iredell County Hospice, 2347 Simonton Rd.
