Life story

" Lucille Smith, age 72, peacefully passed away on April 6, 2024, at her residence in King George, VA. She was born on March 23, 1952, to the late Canyon and Ardell Smith in Westmoreland, VA. Lucille was the 11th eldest out of her parents' 18 children. Growing up, Lucille attended Westmoreland County schools and later received her Nursing Assistant Certificate from Germanna Community College in Fredericksburg, VA. She accepted Christ in her life at an early age and joined New Monrovia Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Reverend Lloyd Watts. Lucille truly lived life to the fullest enjoying the simple joys in life. Hanging out with loved ones, dancing, and finding treasures at yard sales. She had a passion for cooking and making homemade spirits, and these items were always the highlight of family gatherings. She was an avid music lover and absolutely loved showcasing her music. It was normal for her to drive through her community playing music or simply sitting in her backyard listening to music and enjoying life. Lucille had a deep love for family and friends and was always eager to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed talking on the phone, though sometimes she would not let you get a word in. Lucille will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Rest In Peace, Dear Mother. You Will Forever Be In Our Hearts And Memories.

A private funeral service will be held for immediate family members on April 20th, at Historyland Memorial Park in King George, VA.
The family would like to extend an invitation to attend a Celebration of Life event on May 4th at 2pm at the family residence, in King George, VA.
