"In Loving Memory of James Owen Rice
October 17, 1936 to March 18, 2024.

With heavy hearts but fond memories, we bid farewell to a cherished soul who brought warmth and happiness to all who knew him. At the age of 87, Jim passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and cherished moments.

Jim had a passion for the open road, finding solace in the freedom of a long drive with no destination in mind, reveling in the beauty of the world around him. We remember Jim with his trusty Ford truck and a cup of coffee or Jim Beam in one hand and a cigarette in the other. He enjoyed simple pleasures: pool halls, fishing, hunting trips, and driving his truck.

Though Jim may have left this earthly realm, his spirit will live forever in the hearts of those he touched. He would not want us to remember him with sadness, instead he hoped we would raise a glass in his honor and remember the good times. May his ever-ready smile and quick humor be etched in our memories, and his love guide us through the days ahead.

Forever in our hearts, Jim Rice will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend of 38 years, Lynnette Rice, and fondly remembered by family and friends who love him."
