Life story
"She had lived most of her life in the Cadillac area. Growing up she enjoyed roller skating at the Spot and later in life she developed a love for Mud bogs. She also loved entertaining in her backyard where she had put together an Annual Summer Bash.
Shelly had been employed in retail, fast foods (primarily Hot N Now and Wendy's), and had also worked for Speedway until her health declined. She was also a volunteer for many years for Salvation Army, especially the setting up for Christmas distribution and counting kettles. Quite often volunteering wherever and whenever as long as she was able.
After battling cancer for 19 years she was finally free. Cancer did not define her. She never complained about her cancer nor did she let it stop her from doing what she wanted to do.
Her words were "I'm fine. The only time I know I'm not is when they tell me I'm sick. I don't feel sick".
Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be held at Eagles Club, 220 South St, Marion MI 49665."
Services will be private.
