Life story

"Michael Fenton Kearns, a resident of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed away on February 13th, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on December 7th, 1954, to the late Clarence Fenton Kearns and Nora Janet Kearns, Michael leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Theresa Kearns, his daughters Maria Coleman (Richard) and Tiffany King (Aaron), his sister, Teresa Parelman (Seth), his brother, John Kearns (Joyce), and his five beloved granddaughters.
Known for his passion for golf, hockey, baseball, classic rock music, and classic TV shows, Michael also found joy in cheering on his granddaughters during their theatre performances, dance recitals, and sporting events.
Michael will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his human family, he leaves behind his faithful canine companion, Oshie, who is affectionately referred to as "his favorite daughter."
A memorial service to celebrate Michael's life will be held at 10:30am on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Spotswood Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, VA. For those attending the service, we invite you to wear your Washington Capitals apparel or wear the color red to “Rock the Red” in honor of Michael’s favorite hockey team.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Old Dominion Humane Society in Fredericksburg, VA.
We rejoice in the hope we have that Michael is healed and living eternally with His Lord and Savior, and for those of us who have salvation in Jesus Christ, we will be reunited again someday."
