Life story
"Oliver loved his family and friends. He wrote many gospel songs and loved playing his guitar and singing to anyone who would listen, including his family and church. He was a volunteer chaplain at Hardy Correctional Institution in Bowling Green, Fl. He loved going to flea markets and yard sales especially with his wife Josephine until she went home to be with the Lord. I am sure she was waiting at Heavens Gate to welcome him home. He also served in the Coast Guard. He left us at the age of 97yrs and 10 months. He is loved and will be missed by many. Preceded in death by his first wife Mary Ellen Chapman, his second wife Josephine Chapman, and daughter Mary Jane Chapman. Celebration of life service will be held at Willow Oak Baptist church and officiated by Reverend Carl M. Wells. Arrangements by Siegler Funeral Home of Mulberry, Fl. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Willow Oak Baptist Church. "
