Life story

"Carolyn was a beloved wife, mother, grannyma and great grandmother.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Billy Gene Darner. Her daughter Lisa Rico (Carlos), son David Darner (Shilynn), 10 grandchildren Ashley, Alyssa, Ana Maria, Carlos Jr., Gabriela, David Jr., Dakota, Devin, Demi and Destiny and 7 great grandchildren.

Carolyn was born in Danville, Illinois and was a licensed practical nurse in surgery.

Carolyn was an avid reader, storyteller and lover of all things related to the great West. In 2009 she and Bill relocated to Lancaster, CA and developed a new community of friends. Her light and spirit will be missed. Whenever you see a cardinal, her favorite bird, think of her fondly."
