Life story

"Karol was an artist, activist, pet lover, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Michael. Karol loved to bake for her family and was the life of every party. She was a staunch supporter of the LGBTQ community and took care of hundreds of gay men who succumbed to AIDS during her time as a nurse in San Francisco. She received numerous awards throughout her career for her compassion and unwavering character. She will be remembered by her children and grand-children for her larger than life personality and her incredible hugs."
