Life story
"Walter H Miller,
A Brother Father Uncle and Beloved friend , brought Good times and excitement whenever he entered a room, not to mention, to me, the most Handsome.
He had only good stories to tell regarding his dear family.
As a child I would cling to his every word as he would descriptively take me step by step through some of the ins and outs of his childhood shenanigans . Out of his 11 Siblings , he had a few Favorites and would tear up every time he spoke of them.
Never meeting my Grandma, and Grandfather, I got a feeling that they were 2 very special people and an example he wanted me to follow. He often spoke and reminisced about Grandmas cooking and her story telling skills. When speaking of Grand pops, I could see the pride any parent should have the privilege of experiencing. According to dad, he never saw Grand pops take a bus, “the man would walk or run through the city of new London, thats why he was so lean and healthy”.
Yes, my childhood memories are full of good times and many many road-trips. Dad loved taking my brothers, David Frank and I , as well as his grandkids, to Beaches, fine dining restaurants, Parks and his favorite, The library. Growing up in New York, was a constant adventure with visits to Museums and amusement parks and my favorite, the Manhattan shopping districts. On occasion he would bring my brothers and I to visit the Kingdom Hall, he wanted us to know about God. Can you believe He would even take me to work in his NYC Taxi Cab , why , because the tips were better; This was also the game for collecting insurance premiums from clients. When Dad received his real estate license, my brothers and I would go with him on showings and His favorite, open houses. He wanted us to know there was more to life then where your currently living . Yes, Dads going to be dearly missed .
Thank you Daddy for such an exploratory & eventful life. You were definitely one of a kind and you will live on in all of our hearts as Long as we live.
Susan Miller ( Daughter) & Friend.
