Life story
"William O’Neal was born the fifth child out of seven to his parents Winfred Sr. and Alfreida Oneal on 12/17/1954 in the Denver Heights. William was affectionately known to all his loved ones as “Billy” and to his friends Duke Bone. He attended elementary school in San Antonio and later graduated from Highlands High School. Upon his completion of high school, he went on to serve 20 years in the U.S. Navy in the U.S.S. California retiring in 1997. Billy loved education because his mother was an educator. He continued his education attending Houston Tillison. Billy graduated from Olympic College with an associate degree in safety. He also received his bachelor’s in safety from American Public University while working and retired from Seattle City Lights. He was well-loved by all his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in his death by his loving parents (Winfred and Alfreida), two brothers (Button and Ronnie), his loving son Anthony (Lil Duke), and his great-granddaughter E’lonnie. He leaves to mourn his three daughters, Africa, Terrie, Meosha, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. He leaves to mourn a host of family and dear friends. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
