Life story

" Jamison Zierold Culley, born on April 26, 1970, in Salt Lake City, Utah, departed from this world unexpectedly on November 8, 2023 at his home in Orem, Utah. His untimely passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

From an early age, Jamison had an unwavering passion for music, particularly rock and metal. He channeled this love through the strings of his bass guitar, lending his talents to several bands, many of which he performed in with his late brother Jeremy on the drums. His music was a testament to his vibrant spirit and creative soul.

Jamison's affinity for animals was unparalleled, and his loyal companion, Billy, stood faithfully by his side for an incredible 16 years. Billy passed away just weeks after Jamison, a testament to the deep bond they shared.

Though he faced the challenges of addiction for a significant part of his life, Jamison found solace and renewal in recent years through his recommitment to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was rebaptized and later sealed to his parents in the Provo Temple. His journey to sobriety became a defining piece of his life and legacy.

In his final years, Jamison discovered a sense of belonging and community within his church and among his close-knit group of neighbors and friends. These connections provided him with the support and camaraderie that enriched his life and brought him joy.

Jamison was preceded in death by his mother, MaryAnn Zierold, his father, Roderick, and his brother, Jeremy. He is survived by his younger brother, Jacob (Jake), who will carry forward the memories of Jamison's vibrant personality and the love he shared with those around him.

As we mourn the loss of Jamison, let us remember the music that filled his days, the love he held for his cherished pets, and the strength he found in his faith and community. May his spirit live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and may he find eternal peace in the arms of his loved ones who have gone before him.

A funeral service to celebrate Jamison's life will be held at the LDS 8th Ward Chapel - 80 W 900 S, Orem, Utah 84058. A luncheon for family and friends to follow.
