"On Thursday, October 12, 2023, Kevin Leo Flanigan, loving father and grandfather, entered into eternal rest at the age of 68, succumbing to a battle with lung cancer.

Kevin was born September 17, 1955 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, to James and Geraldine (Geisert) Flanigan. He was a 1974 graduate of Sam Houston High School. Kevin went on to become a reliable mechanic that family and friends could depend on in time of need. Rarely asking for a dime for his services, Kevin was rich in favors.
 
He was a loyal Spurs and Cowboys fan, making sure to watch or listen to every game he could to root on his teams. Beyond watching sports, Kevin was an avid bowler, where you could catch him either playing in leagues with friends or tournaments with his brothers, Stephen and David. He also enjoyed the many family gatherings held throughout the years.
 
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, James and Geraldine; and his sisters, Nora Flanigan and Eileen Stuebben. He is survived by his two sons, Bryan Flanigan and Sean Flanigan, and daughter “daddy’s girl”, Shannon Flanigan; granddaughters, Audrey Flanigan and Eiley Flanigan; siblings, Stephen (Carol) Flanigan, David (Teresa) Flanigan, Diana (Jeff) Bennett, Theresa Flanigan, and his late sister’s husband, David Stuebben; along with a plethora of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
 
A Celebration of Life memorial will be held on Friday, October 27th from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the Bracken Store and Ice House. 18415 Bracken Dr, San Antonio, TX 78266
