Life story

"Teri Beltran, born on December 4, 1936, bid her final farewell on September 15, 2023. With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Teri left behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a zest for life that touched the hearts of everyone she encountered.

Born and raised in Arizona, Teri's love for music was apparent from a young age. She learned to play the trombone, an instrument that would become a significant part of her life. As a talented musician, Teri played in various bands across the state, captivating audiences with her skillful melodies in numerous performances throughout her lifetime. She was particularly proud to be a part of a band in Arizona, where she formed lasting friendships with her fellow musicians.

However, Teri's kindness extended beyond her musical talent. She possessed a heart so full of warmth and love that it left an indelible mark on the lives of those around her. With a smile that could brighten up even the gloomiest of days, she was always there to offer a listening ear, a comforting shoulder, and unconditional support. Teri's genuine care and concern for others knew no bounds, making her a pillar of strength for her family and friends.

Teri's family meant the world to her. She was a devoted mother to her three children, who were her pride and joy. As a doting grandmother, she adored her eight grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. Whether it was attending their school events, cheering them on from the sidelines at sporting competitions, or spending quality time together creating beautiful memories, Teri was always present, showering them with love and encouragement.

Aside from her passion for music, Teri had a plethora of other interests that brought her immense joy. She was an avid reader, finding solace between the pages of her favorite books. Teri had a remarkable green thumb and took immense pleasure in tending to her beloved garden, cultivating an array of vibrant flowers. The great outdoors held a special place in her heart, and she would often embark on long walks, basking in the beauty of nature that surrounded her.

In honoring Teri's memory and her love for music, the family has decided to hold a private celebration of life for their cherished matriarch. This intimate gathering will serve as a time for her loved ones to share stories, reminisce, and find solace in each other's company.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider making a donation to the Arizona State University Brass Players Association. By supporting the musical community that Teri held dear, her spirit will continue to shine through the lives of future generations.

Teri Beltran will forever be remembered as a gentle soul who radiated love and kindness to all. Her unwavering support, infectious laughter, and tender heart will be dearly missed, but her spirit and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her."
