" Michael Brent Jacobs, 65, passed away on Thursday Oct. 12, 2023 at his home in Locust Grove, VA after battling renal cancer. He was the husband of Deborah Kay Jacobs, whom he shared a wonderful 43 years of marriage.

“Mike” was born in Washington, DC and was raised in Falls Church, VA. He was the son of Fred and Barbara Jacobs. He was the oldest of four children.

He enjoyed many activities that included racing, fishing, playing poker, tending to his vegetable garden and spending time with his grandsons. He loved playing with his four-legged best friend, Brewski. He will be remembered most for his creativity, his resilience and most of all his big heart.

He is survived by his daughter Michelle Rehn (Eliot); his two grandsons, Cooper and Duke Rehn; his sisters Cheryl Johnston (Mikeal) and Joanne Gray; his brother Mark Jacobs. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.

His celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Oct 22, 2023 at 12pm at Castiglia’s located at 324 Williams St Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Dress is casual for the event. A private memorial service will be held with immediate family at a later date at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas, VA where he will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to plant something that will continue to live and grow in Michael’s memory. "
