Life story

"Carol Sue (Myers)Williamson passed away September 23 , 2023.
Carol Sue was born in Washington, D.C. Christmas morning 1943, to Lucille Elizabeth (Megee) and Harland Myers. She was the 6th child of 9. She was proud of her work with Rappahannock Legal Aide for many years, later working for the federal government. Carol Sue loved being surrounded by pink roses, visits from her family, sharing stories of her life and collecting tea pots.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Francis Larimer, Georgianna Myers, Mary Bierlein and Helen Hopkins, and Great-Granddaughter Lexi Fawn McGinniss. She is survived by her children, Sheila Barnes (Wes) Nolton of Orange, VA, Stephen (Doreen) Bowen of Spotsylvania, VA, Craig Williamson of Orange, VA and Diane Williamson (Kevin) Smith of Preston, GA, beloved Grandchildren Amy Stockunas, Jerry Barker, Brent Steffey, Billy Bowen, Philip Williamson, Samantha McGinniss, Anthony Bowen, Michael McGinniss, Garrett Short, Rebecca Lassiter, Matthew & Stephen Bowen, Jesse Lassiter and Taylor Smith, 9 Great-grandchildren, Sisters June Flynn, Betty Trigger, Brothers Arthur Myers and Michael Digges, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be planned for Spring 2024, when the pink roses are in bloom.
