Effingham, SC - James "Cecil" Willard Jr., 62, passed away on September 3, 2023, in Effingham, SC. Cecil was born on March 5, 1961, in Danville, VA, to his late parents. He was preceded in death by his wife ,mother, father, two brothers, grandparents, and several aunts.

Cecil was a loving and caring individual who had a passion for fishing and spending time with his family. He cherished his loved ones and was adored by his nieces and nephews. Cecil is survived by his niece Robin and Tommy Crosby, nephew Lee and Brittany, nephew Joshua and Laura, sister Becky and Daune, and four great nephews: Haven, Ronnie Lee, Wesley and Harley, Hunter and Kendyl(great great nephew Blake that he couldn’t wait to meet ) He was also a beloved uncle to three nieces: Paytyn, Kynleigh, and Charleigh. two step great nephews and one step great niece.

In his free time, Cecil enjoyed indulging in his hobbies, which included fishing, traveling, and visiting the beach. These activities brought him joy and allowed him to appreciate the beauty of nature & life & making memories.

A memorial service to celebrate Cecil's life will be held on September 16, 2023, from 2pm-4pm at Heaven Bound Ministries, located at 200 Barrett St, Danville, VA 24541. The service will be officiated by Pastor James Clark. Flowers can be sent to the church if sending flowers please call the pastor at 434-713-8354 to be sure someone is at the church for delivery.
There will not be no grave side service . The immediate family will bury cremains privately.

Cecil will be remembered for his kind heart, love for his family, and his enthusiasm for fishing. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be held dear by his loved ones. May his soul rest in eternal peace. He is in no more pain & is now “Fishing In Heaven “"
