Life story

" On August 31, 2023, Mark G. May, 66, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family after a seven month battle with Stage IV metastatic melanoma cancer. Mark was born and raised in Fauquier County. He was a very loving husband, father, Poppy, and brother. He especially loved his role as Poppy to his grandchildren Anson, Reed, and Hadley. They have brought tremendous joy to his life. He will be greatly missed.

Mark is survived by his wife Susie, his daughter Samantha and son-in-law Ted Robson, grandson Reed, his son Tanner, daughter in law Lauran, grandson Anson, granddaughter Hadley, his son Mark Buckley, his brother John and wife Nancy, his brother Mitchell and wife Lauren, his sister Vickie and husband Eric and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Joann. We would like to thank family, friends, co-workers, and his team at Hospice of the Piedmont for all of their love and support through this difficult time.
