Life story

" On August 7, 2023, Anne Marie Thode, of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness at the age of 64 years old. She was born in New York, NY to the late Ann and William Halley. Anne Marie was a devoted Christian and churchgoer, avid reader, volunteer, and above all else a beloved mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her children and granddaughters along with her friends and family, both near and far.  
  
Anne Marie is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Wesley Thode; son Henry Thode (Monica); her daughter Leslie Dunavant (Chris); her two granddaughters Mariel Thode and Cameron Dunavant; and stepmother Martha Halley.  
  
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Central Regional Rappahannock Library. "
