Life story

"Thomas Reed Workman of Fredericksburg, VA passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023. He was born on December 30, 1965 in Richwood, WV.

Thomas was a carpenter in his early years and was very skilled at his craft. He will be remembered as a great mechanic. There wasn't a car he couldn't take apart and put back together, and he really enjoyed his work.

He was big on family and loved his children very much. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone if he was able to.

Thomas is survived by his children, Kenny Wensil (stepson) FL, Travis Honore (son) VA, Amanda Marchorro (daughter) VA, Kevin Honore (son) VA, DeAnna Shuemake (daughter) WV, Tammy Wensil (daughter) MT, "Brian Wensil" (son) WV, Loretta Lyons (stepdaughter) NY, Cody (stepson) VA, and Tony (stepson) VA; his siblings, Hobert Powers (brother) WV, Patricia Shuemake (sister) WV, Debbie Jones (sister) WV, and Bobbie Jo Powers (sister) VA; grandchildren, April, Kenneth Jr, Christian and Julie of FL, Bella, Jayco, Gia, and Cameron of VA, Za'Mayia, Zayden of WV, Abigail, Alethia, Praysley, and Haskell of MT, and Korianna of NY; and his long-time girlfriend, Cheryl Lyons whom he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Gay Powers; brothers, Wayne Powers and Norman "Lee" Powers; and sister, Mary Ann Fitzgerald."
