"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father George Ray Smith Sr. Born on August 29, 1954 to George BookerT Smith and Dorothy Shaw. He passed on July 5, 2023 surrounded by his family. He got his GED in 1979 and went on to join the U. S. Army. He served between the years of 1975-1990 also participating in the U.S National Guard. He loved going to church, spending time with his family and friends, fishing, camping, and making everyone laugh. There was never a dull moment when he was around. Dad, grandfather, great grandfather of 13, faithful church member, Uncle to a host of neices and nephews, and a great friend, we will keep your memory and legacy going. Dad, you will be truly missed and loved deeply. Until we meet again, we all love you.
