Life story

" Steven was born and raised in Utica, NY. He loved sports, especially the Mets and the football Giants. He attended Utica schools and also graduated from the SUNY college system. He spent many years on the West Coast where he made many friendships, had many adventures, and taught special education in various cities that he lived in. He had a great fondness for animals and he often commented that he liked them more than people sometimes. He leaves behind Kira, his Great Dane who was the “love of his life”. They were inseparable and the bond was very evident. His latest residence was Tucson, AZ. He had come to love the desert, where he also taught and made many special relationships with faculty and students alike in a very short time.
Steven had charisma and charm. And he was the "storyteller" at most gatherings or events. He like to hold a captive audience, that's for sure.. He also had a contagious sense of humor, and laughter was the best medicine for him.
There will be nor formal services, but may have a "celebration of life" gathering in Tucson and in Utica to honor his memory.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Steven would want anyone inclined to do so, to donate to their local humane society in his name."
