Life story

"Joyce Marie Miller passed away on the evening of May 28, 2023,  at the age of 66.  Joyce was born in Hartford, CT on November 20, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Onizime and Omerine (Lavertue) Bourgoin. She was a devoted member of First Congregational Church in Cromwell; Joyce spent her entire life strongly devoted to her faith and she always set the highest standards of how to treat people through her kindness and love. Aside from her faith, her most valued treasures were her relationships with family and friends. Joyce left a wake of light wherever she went and she could fill a room with her contagious high-spirited laugh. She treated all animals like they were royalty and she never hesitated to help someone in need. You would hold your breath when she said Grace before a family meal and you could feel her joy by just looking at her smile. Joyce had a true love for nature and you would always find her amongst the mountains and secluded waters across New England.  She was little but fierce, and her earthly presence and light will be forever missed by so many. 
She was predeceased by her brother Ron and sister Paula. 
She leaves behind her children; Jessica Stewart of Valdosta, GA,  Stacy Blaney and husband Robert of Glastonbury, CT, and Corey Gauthier and wife Christen of Cromwell, CT, her siblings; Jim, Toni, Marcel, John, Bob, and Gary, her grandchildren; Sylvanna, Elijah, Samuel, and Aiden, many cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family. A private celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
