Life story

"Jack Eastman died on 4 June 2023 in Fredericksburg, VA.

He leaves behind Mary, his wife of 35 years and friend for many more, his two sons Scott and Jeffrey (Fran) Eastman, his step-daughter Stefanie Brown, niece Carolyn (Jon) Hughes and nephews Charles (Mitzi), Carl (Becky) and Christopher Shipman.

He was born and raised in New York, first in Portville and then in Theresa. He joined the Air Force and was stationed at San Vito Air Force Base in Italy. He then worked at the National Security Agency and while there lived in Cape St Claire and Columbia, MD. After taking early retirement to enjoy life, he and Mary moved to St George Island, FL and then to Basye, VA before finally landing in Fredericksburg.

Jack enjoyed traveling and spent six months each year for 8 years crossing the U.S in an RV. He also went to Ireland and Spain as well as several countries in the Caribbean.

Jack was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Irma Eastman, his sisters Patricia Eastman, Maurine Shipman and Carolyn Eldridge.

Jack will be greatly missed by his surviving family and friends who are grateful for the many years they spent with him."
