Life story

" Richard W. Humphreys, Jr. , 57, passed away after his battle with Cancer on June 3rd, 2023 at Christiana Hospital. He was born September 20th, 1965 in Kissimmee Florida, the son of Richard W. Humphreys Sr. and Ruthann Humphreys(Leonard). Rich served honorably in the United States Army National Guard for 10 years as an Aviation Mechanic while obtaining an Associate’s degree in Airframe and Propulsion. While obtaining his degree in Frederick, MD he met his loving wife, Gloria Humphreys who would be celebrating 27 years of marriage in August.

Richard is predeceased by his mother Ruthann Humphreys. Survived by his wife Gloria Humphreys of Northeast, MD and their four children; Karen Fisher, Joshua Fisher, R. Michael Humphreys and his wife Laura Humphreys, Amanda Gilbert and her partner Tyler Finley. Along with his seven grandchildren; Abigail Fisher, Trey Frederick, Haylee Gilbert, Gavyn Gilbert, Brantlee Finley, Aiden Fisher and Deacon Fisher. Richard is also survived by his father Richard W. Humphreys Sr. with his wife Claudia Humphreys, his brother R. Kyle Humphreys and his wife Debbie Humphreys; many other family members.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday June 7th at Stauffers Funeral Home at 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 8th at Stauffers Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m with Interment following at Harmony COB Cemetery."
