Life story

" Lisa Renee Simpson, 57 of Fredericksburg, VA went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, encompassed at bedside by the love of all her children and her lifelong friend. Though she fought hard, an unfortunate rare type of heart attack called her home to be with our Lord, her parents John and Juanita Simpson, sister Cheryl Simpson, brother John Simpson and extended family who have passed on before her. She is survived by her three children Cristina Myslinski (Eric Myslinski), Sean Self (Jessica Self) and Kayla Self (Andrew Frost) along with six grandchildren, Taylor, Colton, Marleigh, Lincoln, Lexie, Raegan and her lifelong friend and previous husband, George Self. She also leaves behind her precious pup Rocky Simpson and many other friends and family to cherish her memories.

Her life will be celebrated on Friday May 26, 2023, between 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Wrights Chapel Methodist Church; 8063 Ladysmith Rd. in Ruther Glen, VA. A private burial site service to take place at Shenandoah Memorial in Winchester, VA at a later date. "
