Life story

" If you knew Mike Davis you know that he had a dry sense of humor; he often said the funniest things in such a straight-faced way, finding humor in random things. Despite being crotchety sometimes, maybe a lot of the time, he still had a smile on his face, even when he was probably in so much pain, had lost a lot of weight, couldn’t really eat or enjoy the things that he loved…. he was still smiling.

The military was his pride and joy. He loved everything about it. He did a great job for his country, he got promoted fast, he served proudly, and the Air Force served him well. Throughout his life, it meant a lot to him to be able to mentor people. He always wanted to train and help bring up the younger troops to do their best whether in military world or civilian life.

Mike’s last job was with Chenega Corporation, it is by far the best company imaginable. He loved working there and Chenega has been so great to him over the last 10+ years. The last 6 months they have been a Rock for Mike and for me both. I will be forever thankful.

Mike has some of the best friends a person could ever hope to have. They weren’t always close by but when they got together, it’s like they never missed a beat. Thank you for being in his life.

Mike loved a lot of things.... he loved music, he loved these dumb comedians on YouTube and watched them over and over and over. He loved Harley Davidson and I know it hurt him when he sold his last bike, but he knew he couldn’t ride it anymore. He loved clothes and shoes, and he loved his guns!
He loved his big ole stinky dogs, he loved his family and….
…he loved me.
