Life story

" Sandra “Sandi” Pfotenhauer, age 73, of Perrysburg passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born May 1, 1949, to Eugene and Dorothy (Glesmer) Siedlecki in Toledo, Ohio. Sandi graduated from Bedford High School, class of 1967, and went on to attend beauty school. Although Sandi was proud of this accomplishment, her children will joke that she could never cut or perm hair correctly. Sandi married William Pfotenhauer on July 8, 1988, a union surviving 35 years. Sandi spent many years caring for people in the community through Ann Grady and was employed at Swan Creek before retiring in 2008. Sandi loved traveling, especially to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She enjoyed being by the water and looking for the best sea shells. She loved watching football and cheering for her favorite teams which included the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Michigan Wolverines. She enjoyed her garden, going out to eat and drinking her sangria, but loved to dive right into a UFC fight on TV. Sandi can be described as loving, caring, thoughtful, strong, crafty, but was mostly stubborn; wanting nobody to worry about her. Sandi is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Marcia Ann Siedlecki, and her son Scott Allen Richardson who was dearly loved, plus her beloved dogs; pepper and di-men. She is survived by her husband William Pfotenhauer, daughters Tracey Duty, Vivian Wilbur, step daughter Jamie (Josh) Wurm and stepson Billy Pfotenhauer. Also mourning her passing are her eight grandchildren Leslie (Nick) Campbell, Danny (Daisy Sanchez) Duty, Valerie (Nestor Ramirez) Flores, Megan (Ryan McGarry) Richardson, Victoria (Douglas) Duvall, Michael Richardson, Seth (Sydney Schauwecker) Wilbur, and Cody Wilbur. Her four step grandchildren Ashton Pfotenhauer; Kylie, Kadence and Karley Wurm. Also, her five great granddaughters who loved her so much. Per Sandi’s wishes, no service will take place and cremation has occurred. Online condolences may be made at https://bedfordfuneralchapel.com/. Memorial contributions may be directed to Humane Ohio of Toledo. "
