Life story

" Bonnie Luttrell Alston, 75, of King George, gained her angel wings at 17:26 on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Mary Washington Hospital after a long and arduous journey with heart disease. She was born in Reedville, Virginia on October 14, 1947 to the late Mary Margaret Luttrell and the late Eugene Ryland Luttrell. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Whitaker Alston; daughter, Alexa Chauvin Moore; and sister, Betty Early.

She is survived by her beloved children, George Ervin Harris, Jr, Michelle Alston, Kathy Jeter, Mary Margaret Alston, Emily Lister (Dave); beloved grandchildren, Darcy Chauvin, Alston Hayes (Bethany), Heather Jeter, Savannah Tunstall (Anthony), Hunter Moore, Katie Rae Moore, Christian Jeter, Caleb Moore, Evelyn Lister; and beloved great grandchildren, Owen O'Malley, Luke Hayes, Adria Partin.

The family will be planning a graveside service in Louisburg, North Carolina at a later date.

As supporting survivors of domestic violence was a cause very close to Bonnie's heart, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Empowerhouse, 150 Olde Greenwich Dr. #101 Fredericksburg, VA. "
