Life story

"Dominic A. Riccione Obituary February 4, 1941- July 10, 2022 Dominic Riccione, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at the age of 81, surrounded by his family. He was a loving, devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Dominic was born in Furci, Province of Chieti, Abbruzzo, Italy. He came to the U.S. in October, 1955, onboard the ROMA, with his mother and siblings. He attended St. Donato\'s and then graduated from St. Thomas Moore High School in Philadelphia. He was drafted in 1963 and honorably discharged from the Army after serving for 2 years. He returned to Italy to visit family and it was then that he met his beautiful bride, Elena Ferrante, from Castelfrentano, whom he married in January 1966 after a short courtship. They began their lives together in Overbrook Park, Philadelphia and later settled in Havertown to raise their 3 beautiful daughters. Dominic worked as a shop foreman for VIMCO Concrete and Accessories, where he retired after 35 years. He loved to read, watch TV (especially boxing matches), listen to music, and mostly enjoyed sitting at the table with friends and family, with his homemade wine, talking about life, history, and politics for hours. He was a loyal friend and would do anything to help someone in need. We will miss his great smile, kind heart and loving nature, especially with his children and grandchildren, whom he loved and adored. He is survived by his loving daughters, Paola Fusaro (Frank), Ida DiMichele (Tino), and Angela Hilliard (Freddy); his adoring grandchildren, Nicholas, Jenna, Kayla, Eric, Alec, Blake and Taylor; his adoring sister Antonietta Menna (Pasquale), sisters-in-law Angela Giannantonio (Tony) and Bruna Ricci (Giancarlo), and loving in-laws, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Elena, his parents Angelo and Maria Riccione and his brother Vincent and sister-in-law Bonnie Riccione. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM followed by his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM ALL IN CHURCH at Saints Simon and Jude Parish 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA 19382.
