Life story

"Robert Huettner age 83, of Fox Lake, died on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Prairie Ridge Health in Columbus. The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. The funeral service will follow on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Randy Wells officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery in Beaver Dam, following the service. Robert F. Huettner was born on September 19, 1938 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Dudley and Lorraine (Schraufnagel) Huettner. On October 29. 1960, he was united in marriage with Frances Tadych and they were blessed with five children, which they raised in Beaver Dam. Bob worked in the maintenance department at Kirsh Foundry until his retirement. After his wife passed, he was lucky enough to find love for a second time. He and his girlfriend, Jean Budde, made their home in Fox Lake. Bob could be found tinkering in his garage often or doing his all-time favorite thing, bird watching. He was sometimes stubborn but a simple man that knew just how to make one smile with his quick wit and smart remarks. Bob loved his campfires and camping with the family, but he especially loved his family and his pets. Robert is survived by his fiancée, Jean Budde of Fox Lake; children, Rodney (June) Huettner of Beaver Dam, Kathy (Dwain Bud) Hupf of Beaver Dam, Janice Mays (Tom Ludtke) of Burnett, Gene (Bridget) Huettner of Fox Lake, Will (Ashley) Huettner of Watertown, Brian (Teresa) Budde of Beaver Dam, Mary (Randy) Rahn of Beaver Dam, and Jesse (Rachael) Budde of Randolph; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Elaine (Bob) Wunderlin of Sun Prairie, Kenny (Marion) Huettner of Beaver Dam, and Sharleen (Bob) Searvogel of Beaver Dam; several in-laws, many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1998; a grandson; a great grandson; two brothers-in-law; other relatives and special friends.
