Life story

"Mr. Randy Allen Deal, 68, of Valdese, passed away Suddenly on Saturday October 16, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Deal was born July 2, 1953 in Burke County, a son of the late Nelson Franklin Deal and Naomi Ruth Flowers Deal. He retired as a machinist from Dana Corp and was a US Army and National Guard Veteran with over 21 years of service. Randy was a member, Sgt at Arms and past commander of the Sons of Confederate Vet\'s, the Macknized Calvary and a member of the American Legion Post 234 of Valdese. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Powell Yancey Deal of the home, two daughters, Shelley Deal Roper and husband David of Eads, TN, Rhonda Kelley Burleson of Morganton and son Timothy James Lee Martin of Hickory. Also surviving are his six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Randy Allen Deal will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday October 19, 2021 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese with Rev. Paul Deal officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors by the US Army Nation Guard will follow in the Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M.
