Life story

" Joey Wilson Staats, 61, of Stafford, Virginia passed away on August 7, 2021, surrounded by loved ones at his home.

Joey was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane Adams Couch; his step-father, Charles C. Couch; his brother, Stanley Staats and his ex-wife, Mary Ann Staats. He is survived by a daughter, Erika E. Salyers; brother, Bobby Staats, Sr.; grandchildren Xander, Kira and Mason Salyers; great-grandson, Myles Salyers and numerous other family and friends. 

Joey worked hard and played harder... he was a talented auto-body painter for many years.  He had a love for being on the water in his boat, tubing, fishing or even just cruising down the river.  He enjoyed bowling, working on cars and most of all spending time with his loved ones.  

There is a celebration of life being planned.  Details will be given at a later date.
