Life story

"ROCK FALLS – Clarence M. Wilkinson, 79 died June 26, 2021 under the care of hospice at his home. He was born August 23, 1941 in Melbourne, Missouri, the son of Lloyd and Ardith (Chambers) Wilkinson. Clarence was a 1959 graduate of Rock Falls High School and married Damaris Baylis on October 19, 1963. He worked at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co for 33 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Damaris; daughter Sonya (Buddy) Schilpp of Rock Falls; sons: Craig of Rock Falls, Eric of Harmon, Bruce (Peggy) of Rock Falls; grandson Dakota; great grandson Brantley both of Rock Falls; sister, Caroline Johnson of Spokane, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Ellen Smith; and his brothers: Donald and Harol Wilkinson. A gathering of friends and family will take place on Wednesday June 30, 2021 from 12:30 – 1:30 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory 1002 12th Avenue in Rock Falls followed by the memorial service at 1:30 PM with the Reverend Richard Russo officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children\'s Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
