Life story

"Deloris May Foist, 91, of Anderson passed away on March 26, 2021 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus in Anderson. Deloris was born on April 17, 1929 in Lawrenceburg, IN to Arthur Christian and Rosena Wilhelmina (Rosemeyer) Ester. She was a 1947 graduate of Anderson High School, and earned her accounting degree from Indiana Business College. On September 20, 1952, Deloris married Leroy Foist, and they shared their life together until Leroy passed away on July 21, 2004. Deloris was the office manager and accountant for Gentry\'s Cabinets, Inc. She was a member of St. John\'s Lutheran Church, and in her free time she loved to do crafts, watch baseball, volunteer with women\'s clubs, and socialize with family and friends. She is survived by her children: Brian L (Susanna M. Harter) of Huntington Beach, California, daughter, Denise L. (Timothy L.) Miller of Anderson, Indiana; grandchildren: Austin J. Ashby, Jill M. Harter-Foist and Rebecca Y. Harter-Foist; three step-grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; brothers: Paul A. Ester of Anderson, Indiana and Lee G. Don Ester of Middletown, IN; several nieces and nephews. In addition to Leroy, Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Sharon Ann Foist, and brother, Glenn W. Ester. Funeral services for Deloris will be at 1:00 PM on March 31, 2021 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday. Those attending services are asked to wear a mask and observe social distancing."
