Life story

"Robert Bob Dale Lampen, age 86, of Holland, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Bob was raised in Overisel. He married his wife Donna VerBeek, while on leave from serving overseas in the Army. They built their life and raised their family in Oakland. Bob worked as a plasterer but later transitioned into sales for the Moorman Feed Company. He found great joy in farming and raising cattle. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lampen in 2018. He is survived by his children: Nancy and Mike Sluiter, Dave and Lori Lampen; grandchildren: Jon and Katie Sluiter, Lee and Stephanie Sluiter, Katie and Jeff Hunderman, Jeff and Chelsea Lampen, Jacob Lampen, Cassie and Andrew Beadle; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings: Harold and Sandra Lampen, Kathy Dykstra, Larry Lampen; in-laws: Shirley Ver Beek, Henrietta Ver Beek, as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends. There will be a private funeral on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S State St. Zeeland, MI 49464. Rev. Vern Swieringa will officiate. Bob\'s family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at Resthaven and Hospice of Holland for the wonderful care they provided. Memorial contributions are to Resthaven.
