Life story

" Peggy Lee Butler, 64, of Culpeper, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at her home. She was born July 30, 1956 to the late Hubert Lee and Mary Jane Howington.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 49 years, Scott Butler; one son, Clinton S. Butler (Cyndi); two daughters, Peggy J. Menefee (Michael) and Tammy Lynn Butler; two brothers, Gary Howington (Barbara) and Ricky Howington (Sherry); two sisters, Patty Barnett (Doug) and Elaine Dodson (Archie); ten grandchildren, Matthew Cody Butler (Kacie), Alyssa Tickle, Dylan Menefee, Austin Butler, Katelyn Butler, Haylee Menefee, Makayla Butler, Bradley Kilby, Krystina Kilby, and Kaelyn Flory; and one great-grandson, Travis Scott Butler.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Timothy Scott Butler.

The family would like to give appreciation to The Hope Center of Culpeper and Kindred Hospice.

Peggy would also send her love to the cafeteria staff at Sycamore Park Elementary School.

Funeral services will be private.
