"Frankie Wayne McMillan, 61, of Central, passed away Tuesday evening, December 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Frank was born in Walker County, Alabama, a son of the late Walter Holley and Jackie Cecile Honeycutt Porter. He attended D.W. Daniel High School. He worked for over 20 years with Spring Service and TA Powertrain in Greenville before starting his own transmission rebuilding shop in Central. He was raised in the Church of Christ and was a God fearing man and a believer. Frank quietly and regularly assisted many people he knew and did not know. A kindness that was learned from experience of going without and succeeding anyway. He was a life long pool player, playing in leagues over the years. He had a 40 year tradition of competing weekly with Cliff Moss at the American Legion Post 151 The hut. Surviving is his significant other Catherine Kit Heelan of Easley; sons, Wayne McMillan and Bradley McMillan (Kristen) both of Central and Steven Hood of Six Mile; daughters, Casey McMillan of Central and Alexis and Shawna McMillan both of Six Mile; brothers, Zebulon McMillan of Greenville and Michael Porter of Massachusetts; sisters, Cindy McMillan-Franks of Six Mile; Leigh Cadwell McMillan of Pendleton, Leigh Richey of Clemson and Polly Porter Gossett of Six Mile; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by a brother, Fred McMillan; and his step-father, Roy Porter. Graveside services will be at 2 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1:30 PM, Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Following the graveside service per Frank\'s request, the family and friends are invited to gather at the American Legion Post 151, The Hut, 375 Garvin Road, Norris, SC.
