Life story
"Irma Lee Howard Ranson was born to Jimmy and Rohelia Howard on October 30th, 1952. She was the second oldest of seven children. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was raised in the city of Morganza where she graduated from Bachelor High School. She received her LPN degree from Capital Area Nursing School in Baton Rouge and worked in her profession for 30 years. She began her career at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit and she would go on to work at many other hospital's around the as well as in Colorado. Irma loved helping and caring for her patients and devoted her time to those who were very ill. In 1969, Irma would meet her future husband, Bernell Ranson, and on January 6th, 1973 the couple would be married, and would later have five children.
She is survived by her mother, Rohelia Howard, her children, Devin Darnell Ranson, Vale Ann Ranson, Stephanie Renee Ranson, Michael James Ranson, and Kevin Bernard Ranson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tatyana Christina Ranson, Devin Jordan Ranson and Jaden Darnell Ranson, she is survived by her siblings, Joyce Smith, Jimmy Howard Jr., Brenda Robbins, Calvin Howard, and Bernadine Johnson."
