Life story

" Roy is survived by his wife, Danette Vetter, daughter, Angela Vetter, and Son, Christopher Denato. His Mother-in-Law and alternate caregiver Linda Calderone who he referred to as "Ma", his Father-Law William Denato (Mary), who he refered to as Dad. He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Coe and father, Charles Vetter. Roy leaves behind brother Scott Vetter and sister Leslie Phiscator. Roy was very close to and loved his nieces Larissa Vetter, Lidia Lentz (Chris), and Alexis Vetter as well as nephew Christian Vetter. Roy was loved by all those that came into contact with him. He will be missed by his best friend and co-worker at ABC Supply Co. Christopher Lentz.

He especially loved his ABC family and was a very hard worker. He will be deeply missed by the Lake Family at Parrot's Cove in Antioch, IL.

His other passions were bowling at Metro Bowl in Crystal Lake, golf outings, fishing on Channel Lake in Antioch, and concert events.

Roy was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres, Chicago Cubs, and Kentucky Wildcat's fan. He liked to attend every event he could and be upset with those that didn't remove their hats when the National Anthem was being played.

Roy enjoyed watching his daughter Angela play the flute and piccolo and enjoyed attending concerts with his son Christopher anywhere Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, and Rob Zombie played a concert.

Roy was a friend to all and volunteered his time with those in need. He will be missed by all but never forgotten.

There will be a Celebration of Life to be announced at a future date. "

Services will be announced at a later date.

"Roy words can't express how hard this is. We lost a brother, friend and a Parrot Cove family member. I am thankful that we were able to party, golf, go to a concert and boat together in such a short time that I knew you. We had a lot of good laughs in the clubhouse and on our deck. Heaven gained a great angel in you. Save a seat for me brother!!”

"Roy. there is just not enough room here to tell you how I feel, not only did I loose one of the GREATEST associate's I have EVER had the honor of working with, I have LOST a VERY DEAR FRIEND. I will remember the tough times we had together at ABC , and there were a few over the last ten years, but I will NEVER FORGET the victories and the GREAT times, and there were many more of those. When I look back on my life, you will ALWAYS be there, that SPECIAL person that has had an impact on my own life. Thank-you for that .Keep the turntable spinning and the beers cold my friend. LOVE ALWAYS Jake”
