Life story

"
James Delmar McConico Jr. was born January 7, 1965 to his parents Carole Ruth Smith McConico and James Delmar McConico Sr. He had the biggest heart, coolest personality, and one of the most loving spirits to be around. He was a family man and always someone you could call on.

Most of his family and friends know him as James Mac, J-Mac or Toby. He could light up a room with his infectious positive energy. He was most likely the loudest one in the room. You could always count on having a good time when he was around. James kept people smiling, laughing, and dancing. It was never a dull moment with him.

A father of four beautiful children, and a grandfather of seven lovely grandchildren with one unborn. He was someone who gave love unconditionally to his family.

Intelligent, strong-willed, adventurous, funny, loving, and supportive are just a few words that describe how amazing he was. He was a true stand up guy that accomplished so much during his time here with us.

He was a member of the Big Book workshop for fourteen years. He recently celebrated 30 years of sobriety with his AA group in 2019. He graduated with his B.A. in I.T. Computer Science from Azusa Pacific. He was also a member of the 435 intergroup in Compton California. We will always love and miss you James Mac. Fly high and Rest in paradise. "
