Life story

" Harry Nelson Ness Jr, age 77, departed his life , Tuesday April
01, 2020 at Dogwood Village Nursing Home, Orange Virginia.
Born January 02, 1943, to Harry & Elva Ness of Gordonsville,
VA, Harry was preceded in death by his parents and daughter
Sheryl Ness of Orange, his sister Erma Kidwell Ness, brothers
George & Dennis Ness who were also from Gordonsville.
Mr.Ness is survived by his children Stewart Ness (son) of
Madison Virginia and wife Carolyn. Sharon Hefright
(daughter)of Ruckersville Virginia and husband Jack. 5 brother
Calvin,Bobby,John,and Nelson Ness from Gordonsville Virginia
and Earl Ness from Culpeper Virginia, 5 grandchildren, 6 great
grand children and many nieces and nephews.
Harry was a retired maintenance/custodial worker, he worked
for Sedwick Building Supplies for over 20 years. He also worked
at the Orange Elementary School as a custodian for 15 years.
He was married to Patricia Ann Lohr of Orange for 18 years.
Harry was a devout member of Orange Baptist Church. Harry
also spent 30 years active in the Virginia Defense Force.
Harry was a proud patriot to his country, many will never forget
the man that walked everywhere with a camera in hand. We all
have significant memories of Mr.Ness. He was man of little
words but made the best life with little means.
A celebration of life will be arranged and posted after the
COVID-19 pandemic. All donations, flowers, and food can be
