Life story

"Our Lisa Marie Rogers, loving daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and angel to many returned to her heavenly home on Friday, November 1st in Southern California at 42 years old. We miss her dearly and look forward to the day that we will be reunited with her. Until that day, we will greatly miss her beautiful smile, positive attitude, swooshy dresses, dance parties, power shopping sessions, and selfless love.

Lisa experienced constant physical pain from multiple car accidents in her youth.  Because of this pain, she had a passion and drive to help others heal.  As a personal trainer, she helped countless people recover from injuries and physical weakness.  Lisa was also a ray of light to those struggling emotionally.  She was the first to offer a helping hand and reach out to those in need.  Lisa regularly placed the needs of others above her own. She was a true example of Christlike service. We will love you forever, Lisa, and know that you will always be our angel watching over us.

Lisa is survived by her loving parents, Gary and Margie Rogers, her brother, Dave Rogers, sister-in-law Jenny Rogers, and her grandmother Marjorie Sharp.  She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Howard C. Sharp and her paternal grandparents, George H. Rogers and Elizabeth Williams Rogers.  A family service and memorial paddle out was held at Doheny State Beach to honor Lisa on November 9th.  In lieu of flowers, please feel free to send a donation to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society."
