Life story

" Kathryn (Honey / Kay) Marie (Deyoc) Miller of Montgomery County, Pa., passed from this life on Thursday, July 4, 2019 surrounded by her family.


Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elsie Deyoc, brothers Walter, George and Leslie Malloy, sister Emma Goodson and son-in-law Garry Emler. She is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, James A. Miller, daughters Lois Leach (Craig), Joan Emler and LuWanna Nielsen (Mark).


Kathryn has a great legacy with nine grandchildren - Joy Nielsen Masterson (Rick Allman), Theresa Leach Faultner (Casey), Stephanie Leach Colbert (David), Eric Emler (Nikki), Nick Nielsen (Megan), Rita Nielsen Udulutch (Jason), Justin Miller (Kristin), Donald Nielsen (Jana) and Erin Emler; 16 great -grandchildren - Nicole Faultner, Skyler Faultner, Izack Nielsen Sandy, Barbara Faultner (James Williams), Michael Whalley, Cody Colbert, Andrew Udulutch, Kali Faultner, James Emler, Hope Colbert, Richard Masterson, Jacob Nielsen, Brooklynn Nielsen, Aubrey Udulutch, Logan Emler and Shelby Udulutch; and one great-great-grandchild - Willow Williams. Kathryn is also survived by brother Frank Deyoc and sister Linda Duncan West.


Kathryn worked as a secretary at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #2 in Phoenix from 1986 to 2012. From 1967 to 1970, she helped her husband James run Miller General Hauling, a commercial refuse disposal company in Conshohocken, Pa. Through all the years, Kathryn served her family as a loving and patient wife, mother, grandmother, and in her words, "Chief, Cook and Bottle Washer." Her presence and love will be sorely missed. She is no longer suffering from the pain and discomfort of her many physical ailments, and for that blessing, her family is extremely grateful.


A graveside service will be held at Double Butte Cemetery, 2505 W Broadway Rd, Tempe, AZ 85282 on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Immediately following the graveside service, a gathering of family and friends will be held at the home of Nick and Megan Nielsen 4009 W Muriel Dr, Glendale, AZ 85308.
