Being a mom, wife and nurse were her favorite things in the world. She had a unique way of making every day special for her family, patients and friends.

While at SJSU, Kathy joined Army ROTC and became an Army nurse where she met her husband John and they were married in San Francisco on August 31st, 1985. She served in the Army Reserve as a Captain until 1992. She continued her nursing career as a nursery nurse at Kaiser Permanente San Jose, Harris Methodist HEB, Medical City Dallas, and as a pediatric home care nurse.
