Life story

" Claudia Elena Marian-Muterspaugh, 51, passed away on June 23rd, 2026. She was born August 2nd, 1974 in Hunedoara, Romania and immigrated to America in 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Isabella Andrea Marian, parents Avram and Florica Marian, brother Claudiu Jeler (wife Adina), niece Diana Jeler, niece Ioana Croitoriu, niece Alexandra Croitoriu, cousin Meda Sophie Burca (husband Gabriel), second cousin Julia Burca, and aunt Georgeta Lighezan.

Claudia attended James Madison University for several years before becoming an essential employee at Muterspaugh Insurance Agency.

She adored her “girls” Rose, Darcy, Belle, Lottie, Ginnie and Pearl (her family dogs) and had a passion for hunting dog training and for showing that golden retrievers and flat coat retrievers can also excel as hunting dogs in addition to the traditional labradors.

Her memorial service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, at 75 N Mason St, Harrisonburg, VA

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to the Page County Animal Shelter (1261 Goodrich Rd, Stanley, VA 22851) where Claudia was a volunteer and spread her love for animals. "
