"Richard Steven Fawley (Rick), 70, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026. Born to Richard and Beverly Fawley, both of whom preceded him in death, Rick lived a life grounded in kindness, curiosity, and genuine connection.
 
Rick was a beloved brother to Tim Fawley (Terri), the late Terry Fawley (Teresa), and his sister Susan Zacharko (Eric). He was a proud uncle to five nieces and nephews and a great‑uncle to eight great‑nieces and nephews, each of whom he cherished deeply.
 
A passionate outdoorsman, Rick found his greatest joy on the water. Whether kayaking across quiet stretches of Lake Anna or casting a line in his favorite fishing spots, nature was his refuge and his playground. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his love for people. Rick was a stranger to no one—he had a gift for making others feel seen, valued, and welcomed. He treasured every person he called a friend, whether met in person or through the online communities where he found companionship and camaraderie.
 
Rick’s warm spirit, easy laughter, and open heart leave a lasting imprint on the many lives he touched.
 
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date so that family and friends may gather to honor his memory.
 
Rick will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love."
